The Story...
I started to feel very drawn to capturing women pregnant in January 2021, I had seen some beautiful naked shots online and I really felt like I could do something magical.
My friend wanted to capture her pregnancy and was keen for me to style and direct the shoot.
From that day on, I have done over 80 + Maternity Shoots for so many beautiful mothers.
When I had this calling to do these shoots, I had just decided, that after all the months of trying to conceive after loosing our first baby at 12 weeks pregnant, I was done.
I was ready to focus on my career and we would start a family in a few years time.
Little did I know, I was just a few days pregnant when I did my first Goddess Maternity Shoot with my friend. That calling was coming from my little baby, Jackson.
Pregnancy is a incredible but difficult journey. So much changes in so many ways.
Our bodies see most of the change I find, I felt like my body was not my own most days.
By doing these shoots, I want to show YOU how BEAUTIFUL you are.
How I see you through my lens is so different to how we view ourselves.
For me personally I am very hard on myself and found myself looking at my body in such a negative way.
Seeing images of yourself like this can change that view. It can show you how magnificent you truly are. You are creating life.
I do not over edit, I only use my presets and maybe soften skin slightly.
All your perfect imperfections, stay.
